BDO Global Lab, 11 September 2026: Hadum closes Inner Edania's story in English
Global Lab's 11 September patch is the biggest one yet: it closes out Black Desert's Act 1 story in Inner Edania, adds a new final boss called Hadum, and rewrites how the enhancement material Twilight of the End is earned. Maehwa and Archer both get full skill reworks, seven classes lose the ability to hold aggro forever, and Magaia Temple gets more room to hunt in. Last week's 4 September recap covers the patch this one builds on, and 7 August's article is where Inner Edania's story first opened.
The notice is mostly Korean. Pearl Abyss embedded official English for the Inner Edania intro, the Maehwa and Archer class intros, the Magaia Temple overview, the aggro-skill change, the Twilight of the End overview and the Distorted Energy item. Everything else, including every table below, is translated here.

The story closes in Inner Edania
Pearl Abyss calls this the final chapter of Black Desert's Act 1. Their own English text names the gods involved: Agris, Markthanan, Elion, Aal and Hadum. The main quest sends Adventurers past the Doors of Alyaelli to confront them.
The main quest itself cannot be tested on Global Lab. Pearl Abyss says it ships straight to official servers instead. What Global Lab does carry is everything around it: a level 60 requirement, a prerequisite of finishing Inner Edania's outer main quest first, a one-time bulk grant of Agris' Fervor per family for progressing it, 20 new Tachyon's Legacy collectibles scattered through the zone, and a seven-chapter Adventure Log covering the Doors of Alyaelli, Aphrodon, Hermesia, Magaia, Aresion, Voidecea and a still-unrevealed seventh chapter at Angavu Outpost.

Hadum: Event Horizon's new boss
Hadum is added as Event Horizon's boss. Reaching it needs an active weekly boss quest, AP 428 or higher, DP 520 or higher, and every equipped weapon, armor and accessory piece (artifacts and alchemy stones excluded) at Red grade or better. The Black Wolf mount cannot be summoned during the fight.
The weekly quest, For the Throne: Hadum, opens 17 September at 00:00. Only one Edana boss can be challenged per week across all of Inner and Outer Edania, and the Edana Challenge Token it pays out expires three hours after it is claimed.
Clearing the fight opens the Edania: Void Coffer, which always contains:
| Item | Quantity |
|---|---|
| Piece of Edana | 7 |
| Twilight of the End Choice Box III | 4 |
| Embers of Ynix, one each of Helmet, Armor, Gloves, Shoes | 4 |
| Fusion Shard | 2 |
| Nebu's Fragment | 2 |
| Caphras Essence | 70 |
| Perfume of Longing | 7 |
| Perfume of Resolve | 7 |
| Gold Bar Box | 5 |
| Gold Bar 1kG | 12 |
At low chance it can also drop an Apeiron Necklace, Ring, Belt or Earring, none of which carry a stated drop quantity in the notice, plus one Silent Ancient Crystal and one Distorted Ancient Crystal.
Beating Hadum also qualifies an Adventurer for Edana's Throne, Event Horizon's weekly Sunday PvP contest for control of the zone. The notice lists this under "Edana's benefit": the reigning Edana earns a base 25,000,000,000 silver, sets the Sealed Room entry scroll price at 150,000,000 silver, and takes 0.5% tax on top. This is income for the Edana, not a cost. Only a "+All AP" Dawn Crystal is allowed during a challenge, the same restriction the other Edania thrones already carry.
Twilight of the End changes hands
Twilight of the End is the accessory-enhancement material behind Ekleta and Apeiron gear, and Pearl Abyss says demand for it is why Adventurers are spending most of their time in Inner Edania's monster zones. This patch tries to loosen that.
Completing each zone's weekly For the Throne quest now unlocks a follow-up, Challenger of the End, which pays out Twilight of the End for Gold Bar 1kG:
| Zone | Tier | Reward | Cost |
|---|---|---|---|
| Aphrodon | I to V | Twilight of the End - Earring | 10x Gold Bar 1kG |
| Aphrodon | VI to X | Twilight of the End - Earring | 30x Gold Bar 1kG |
| Hermesia | I to V | Twilight of the End Choice Box I | 10x Gold Bar 1kG |
| Hermesia | VI to X | Twilight of the End Choice Box I | 30x Gold Bar 1kG |
| Magaia | I to V | Twilight of the End Choice Box II | 10x Gold Bar 1kG |
| Magaia | VI to X | Twilight of the End Choice Box II | 30x Gold Bar 1kG |
| Aresion | I to V | Twilight of the End Choice Box III | 10x Gold Bar 1kG |
| Aresion | VI to X | Twilight of the End Choice Box III | 30x Gold Bar 1kG |
| Voidecea | I to V | Twilight of the End Choice Box III | 10x Gold Bar 1kG |
| Voidecea | VI to X | Twilight of the End Choice Box III | 30x Gold Bar 1kG |
Two more changes land alongside it. The processing recipe that heats Twilight of the End into an Apeiron accessory is removed outright, while the reverse recipe, heating an Apeiron accessory back into Twilight of the End, stays. Pearl Abyss's stated reason is that a bigger supply of Twilight of the End would make Apeiron accessories easier to enhance than the current zone difficulty and gear-progression curve are built around. A new recipe replaces some of that supply: heating a Fragment of Causality, held in the general bag rather than a Pearl bag, now yields five of the matching Twilight of the End piece.
Agris' Fervor gets a fourth exchange tier
The family-wide currency exchange adds a fourth tier, all priced in Agris' Fervor:
| Item | Quantity | Fervor cost | Times exchangeable |
|---|---|---|---|
| Advice of Valks (+300) | 1 | 300 | 1 |
| Advice of Valks (+250) | 1 | 220 | 1 |
| Twilight of the End - Earring | 1 | 50 | 10 |
| Twilight of the End - Ring | 1 | 50 | 10 |
| Fusion Shard | 2 | 10 | 3 |
| Nebu's Fragment | 2 | 10 | 3 |
| Perfume of Longing | 2 | 8 | 30 |
| Perfume of Resolve | 2 | 8 | 30 |
| Sealed Black Magic Crystal | 25 | 8 | 20 |
| Sharp Black Crystal Fragment | 15 | 8 | 20 |
| Cron Stone | 30 | 8 | 10 |
| Caphras Essence | 50 | 5 | 8 |
Maehwa: a faster combo and more PvE damage
Prime: Blooming's cooldown drops from 15 to 12 seconds, which lowers its specialization stage from 3 to 2. It now chains off Decapitating Dragon with a left-click input instead of a slower manual activation, and loses its bleed effect. A 10-second, minus-12 evasion debuff that used to come from Prime: Blooming now comes from Scattering Petals instead. Five skills gain PvE damage, with a same-day correction adding the PvP damage-application ratios below:
| Skill | Stage | PvE damage before | PvE damage after | PvP ratio before | PvP ratio after |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Prime: Red Moon | Hit 1/2 | 2927% x2 | 3317% x2 | 31.47% | 27.77% |
| Prime: Red Moon | Hit 3 | 2927% x4 | 3317% x4 | 31.47% | 27.77% |
| Prime: Red Moon | Last hit | 2927% x2 | 3317% x2 | 31.47% | 27.77% |
| Dark Crimson: Red Moon | First hit | 4391% x4 | 4977% x4 | 29.97% | 26.44% |
| Dark Crimson: Red Moon | Last hit | 6588% x2 | 7467% x2 | 29.97% | 26.44% |
| Prime: Snowball | Hit | 4606% x2 | 5080% x2 | 44.02% | 39.91% |
| Prime: Decapitation | Hit | 2490% x2 | 2732% x2 | 34.24% | 31.21% |
| Prime: Decapitation | Extra hit | 4980% x2 | 5464% x2 | 34.24% | 31.21% |
| Falling Petal Cut | Hits 1 to 3 | 2491% x2 | 2709% x2 | 35.73% | 32.86% |
| Falling Petal Cut | Last hit | 4982% x2 | 5417% x2 | 35.73% | 32.86% |
Ultimate: Whirlwind Cut's Red Moon damage rises the same way, and Dark Crimson: Decapitation changes identically to Prime: Decapitation. Neither is separately tabled. Damage dealt during a skill's own cooldown window is unchanged throughout. Ultimate: Whirlwind Cut also stops causing character collisions when sidestepping mid-skill, and Falling Petal Cut's final-hit slow motion is toned down.
Archer: PvE gains, PvP cuts
Watcher's 30-second buff keeps its +20 All AP, +48 All Accuracy and +100% Critical Hit Chance, but its Down Attack, Air Attack, Back Attack and Critical Hit bonus damage each drop from +15% to +10%. This is the same cut our 4 September article reported as an announced-then-retracted Archer nerf, called "Watchman" there before Pearl Abyss's English confirmed the name as Watcher. It ships this patch. Root's Rise now keeps super armor only until landing, down from longer, while Windwhisper keeps super armor through its landing motion but no longer regenerates Stamina at any point during the skill. Seven skills gain PvE damage alongside a PvP-ratio cut:
| Skill | PvE damage before | PvE damage after | PvP ratio before | PvP ratio after |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Radiant Blast IV | 9116% x2 | 10513% x2 | 40.86% | 35.43% |
| Flow: Lead the Light | unchanged | unchanged | 26% | 22.54% |
| True: Spirit's Protection | 5635% x2 | 7032% x2 | 42.21% | 33.82% |
| True: Earth-Splitting Arrow | 6112% x3 | 6829% x3 | 39.4% | 35.26% |
| Rain of Light | 2839% x1, max 6 hits | 3205% x1, max 6 hits | 45.73% | 40.5% |
| Arrow of Stigma | 9194% x2 | 10591% x2 | 25.32% | 21.98% |
| Sylvia's Spear IV | 9171% x2 | 10568% x2 | 27.34% | 23.72% |
Flow: Lead the Light's own damage is unchanged. Its PvP ratio moves only because it draws from Radiant Blast IV. Every figure in this table is repeated in the live 17 September patch note.
Seven classes lose infinite aggro
Some taunt skills could hold a monster's attention indefinitely no matter who else was dealing damage. Pearl Abyss's own English confirms the fix: these skills still draw aggro, but another Adventurer dealing more damage can now pull the monster away. It applies to:
- Warrior: Echo of the Battlefield I to III
- Valkyrie: Heaven's Echo I through True, Succession: Heaven's Echo, and Enslar's Divinity I to III
- Berserker: Raging Ruler
- Lahn: Noble Grace I to III
- Shai: Found It!
- Striker: Crouching Wolf
- Mystic: Crouching Wolf
The Korean notice names Berserker as Giant, which is that client's own name for the class.
Magaia Temple gets more room to hunt
Magaia Temple had only three monster spawn locations, fewer than the other top-tier Inner Edania zones. Pearl Abyss adds four more, and relocates the Marni's Realm entrance, previously off on its own, to sit inside the new, denser spawn cluster.
Smaller changes
Distorted Energy is a new item from NPC Lejenti at Angavu Outpost. From AP 413, talking to Lejenti grants one, and using it instantly clears the Inner Edania "blessing of the gods" buff picked up from a Trace NPC in Aresion, Scales of Judgment or Event Horizon. It is character-bound, and at most three can be held at once.
Party and Squad Finder listings now expire and drop off the list an hour after posting, with a hover tooltip on a clock icon showing time left. Hosts can set a max party or squad size directly when posting, and a listing's AP/DP requirement fields are capped at 430/530. The enhancement chance-increase display is redesigned, splitting current and added probability onto opposite sides of the panel before showing the final combined number.

Guild renown usage history shortens its visible window from the last 30 days to the last 7. Autumn foliage decorates the world near major cities until the 28 October (Korea) or 29 October (Global) maintenance. Event Horizon's post-Ebidor loot stays lootable 3.5 times longer than before. A long list of smaller interface and bug fixes also landed: life skill gear now shows up in Ctrl+F searches, several Pad Mode menus were cleaned up, and Marni's Wave gains two new BGM tracks, BlackOut Light and its acoustic version. None of it changes numbers on the site.

What this changes for tracking
Magaia Temple already has a measured baseline in our grind spot data, at 3,178,128,408 silver/hour casual and 3,632,146,752 top. Four new spawn locations should move that number, though which way depends on density, not just count.
Event Horizon and Aresion Temple are both in our spot data already, at AP/DP requirements of 420/505 and 415/495, but neither has a baseline silver figure recorded yet. Those are general hunting requirements, not Hadum's fight-specific 428/520, so do not conflate the two when Event Horizon's baseline eventually gets filled in. Voidecea has no spot row at all yet, a gap worth filling now that Hadum and its Throne are live.
Twilight of the End (all four pieces), Fusion Shard, Caphras Essence and the four Apeiron accessories are already tracked in our item data. The Apeiron-crafting recipe this patch removes is not modeled in our recipe data, so nothing needs to come out. The new Challenger of the End exchange and the Fragment of Causality recipe are also not yet tracked, and are natural additions now that this content is live.
Names updated to official English
Pearl Abyss's English text in this notice confirms these names for the first time:
- Markthanan, Aal and Hadum, three of the gods named alongside Agris and Elion in the Inner Edania intro.
- Alyaelli, the gate at the centre of Inner Edania's main quest.
- For the Throne, the weekly quest our 4 September article called "Throne Qualification." Pearl Abyss's own English now names it "[Weekly] For the Throne."
- Watcher, confirming 감시자 as the official name for Archer's buffed stance. The 4 September article guessed "Watchman."
