BDO Global Lab, 2 October 2026: level 75 and the Combat EXP revamp in English
Global Lab's 2 October patch raises the level cap to 75 and rebuilds how Combat EXP works. Every level needs a new amount of EXP, every monster gives a new amount, and a single kill can no longer hand out more than a set share of a level. From level 70, each level adds 3 extra AP against monsters and 3 monster damage reduction, up to 18 of each at 75. Wars, Black Shrine, guild bosses and Altar of Blood now pay a new Combat EXP item, and class base stats are unified across every class. Last time, our 18 September recap covered Hermesia losing its top-tier loot.
The notice is mostly Korean. Pearl Abyss embedded official English for the introductions to the level revamp, the Common Skill, the class stat changes, the Woosa fix and the Inner Edania quest improvements. Everything else, including every table below, is translated here.

The level cap goes to 75
The highest level a character can reach rises from 70 to 75. At 75 a character stops gaining EXP. EXP for the character you have linked through character switch still builds up past that point.
Any character switch EXP you have not claimed is deleted at the 7 October maintenance in Korea and the 8 October maintenance everywhere else. Claim it before then.
Bonus stats from level 70
From level 70, each level adds 3 extra AP against monsters and 3 monster damage reduction:
| Level | Extra AP against monsters | Monster damage reduction |
|---|---|---|
| 70 | 3 | 3 |
| 71 | 6 | 6 |
| 72 | 9 | 9 |
| 73 | 12 | 12 |
| 74 | 15 | 15 |
| 75 | 18 | 18 |
The bonus also applies to your linked character switch partner, whatever its level. The highest level of the pair sets the bonus for both. The notice's example pairs a level 72 with a level 66, and the 66 gets the 72's 9 and 9. The bonus does not stack.

The Profile (P) window now shows your current EXP and the EXP needed for the next level. The self introduction box moves to the portrait in the top left. A new help icon next to your level opens the detailed figures in the Adventurer's Notes.
How Combat EXP changes
Four things are rebalanced at once: the EXP needed for every level, the EXP from every monster, Combat EXP from quests, and the EXP from Black Spirit's training.
A new rule caps how much Combat EXP a single kill can give, as a share of your current level. The cap counts after every Combat EXP buff is applied:
| Your level | Most EXP one kill can give |
|---|---|
| 1 to 5 | about 20% |
| 6 to 10 | about 18% |
| 11 to 15 | about 16% |
| 16 to 20 | about 14% |
| 21 to 25 | about 12% |
| 26 to 30 | about 10% |
| 31 to 35 | about 8% |
| 36 to 40 | about 6% |
| 41 to 47 | about 5% |
| 48 to 49 | about 3.5% |
| 50 to 55 | about 2% |
| 56 to 61 | about 0.2% |
| 62 and up | about 0.01% |
Grind spot info and monster levels
Grind spot info now lists every monster in a zone and the EXP each one gives. A recommended level sits in front of each zone's name. The High Combat EXP and High Skill EXP tags are removed.

The monster bar at the top of the screen will show a monster's level. That part cannot be tested on Global Lab and is due on official servers.
Out-levelling monsters
Monster name colours by level difference drop from eleven bands to seven. Being higher level than a monster now cuts the damage it does to you:
| You compared with the monster | Monster damage reduction |
|---|---|
| 3 or more levels lower | none |
| 2 levels lower | none |
| 1 level lower | none |
| Same level | none |
| 1 level higher | +3 |
| 2 levels higher | +6 |
| 3 or more levels higher | +9 |
Combat EXP from wars and bosses
A new item, the Combat Secret Manual, grants Combat EXP when used. It comes in four sizes. The notice measures each at level 66:
| Item | Combat EXP at level 66 |
|---|---|
| Combat Secret Manual (Small) | 0.2% |
| Combat Secret Manual (Medium) | 1% |
| Combat Secret Manual (Large) | 7.5% |
| Combat Secret Manual (Extra Large) | 15% |
All four need level 60 to use. They are bound to the family and fit in the family inventory and storage.
| Content | Condition | Reward |
|---|---|---|
| Black Shrine (Donghaedo) | Each boss killed | 1 Small |
| Black Shrine (Hwanghaedo) | Each boss killed | 1 Small |
| Guild boss | Each guild boss killed | 1 Medium |
| Altar of Blood | Each stage completed | 1 Medium |
| Node War | Win | 2 Medium |
| Node War | Loss | 2 Small |
| Siege | Win | 1 Large |
| Siege | Loss | 2 Medium |
| War of the Roses | Win | 1 Extra Large |
| War of the Roses | Loss | 4 Medium |
| Red Battlefield | Win | 1 Small |
| Guild League | Win | 1 Small |
| Arena of Solare ranked match | Win | 1 Small |
The manuals arrive after the 14 October maintenance in Korea and the 15 October maintenance everywhere else. Content played between the 8 October maintenance and that update is paid out in arrears. Guild boss kills count from 5 October at 00:00, and the notice gives no time zone for that.
Quests and EXP buffs
Quest rewards are rescaled so each one gives the same share of a level as before. Three main quest branches now each take a character to level 56 when finished: "[Calpheon] Hero of Calpheon", "[Land of the Morning Light] Ruler of Taebaek" and "[Mountain of Eternal Winter] In Search of the God-Burning Flame". The Mediah main questline ends at level 60, counted from starting it at 56. Olvia Academy's combat course takes a character from 60 at 0.00% to 61. Main quests from before the storyline renewal now pay a flat 100 EXP each. Combat EXP also changes on 61 listed side quests.
Four EXP buffs get stronger:
| Buff | Before | After |
|---|---|---|
| Physical Training (camp buff), Combat and Skill EXP | 50% | 100% |
| Blessing of Adventure (NPC or camp), Combat and Skill EXP | 15% | 30% |
| Pearl outfit, 4 pieces, Combat EXP | 10% | 50% |
| Pearl outfit, 6 pieces, Skill EXP | 10% | 50% |
Class base stats unified
Pearl Abyss's English explains the change. Max HP, recovery, AP, damage reduction and evasion used to grow at a different rate for each class, which was hard to see. The shared part is now identical for everyone, and each class's own difference moves into a new passive skill.
| Stat | New growth |
|---|---|
| Max HP | +12 per level from 1 to 49, +25 per level from 50 to 75 |
| HP recovery | Fixed at 5 at every level |
| All AP | +1 every 2 levels, 1 to 75 |
| All damage reduction | Rises from 1 to 23 over levels 1 to 49, then stops |
| All evasion | Rises from 1 to 283 over levels 1 to 50, then stops |
At level 75 this raises Max HP for Sorceress, Lahn, Tamer, Kunoichi and Ninja. Striker and Mystic lose some magic damage reduction, down to their melee and ranged values. Their melee and ranged evasion rise to match their magic evasion.
Tamer and Wizard had the highest base AP, so both lose final AP and get it back elsewhere. Tamer gains All AP +5 on its 신수의 가호 passive (literally Divine Beast's Protection). Wizard's magic AP passive (literally Magic Power Increase) goes from +24 to +29.
Skill resource
Max MP, WP and SP now grow only up to level 51. At level 75, Sorceress and Hashashin gain max MP. Drakania, Kunoichi and Ninja gain max WP, and Lahn loses some.
| Growth per level, to 51 | Classes |
|---|---|
| 1 | Warrior, Wukong, Guardian, Drakania, Lahn, Berserker, Striker, Mystic, Musa, Maehwa, Ninja, Kunoichi |
| 4 | Hashashin, Tamer, Shai |
| 5 | Valkyrie, Nova, Seraph |
| 10 | Ranger, Scholar, Corsair, Dark Knight, Archer, Deadeye, Agent |
| 15 | Sorceress, Maegu, Woosa, Dosa |
| 20 | Sage, Witch, Wizard |
| Natural recovery, every level | Classes |
|---|---|
| 20 WP | Every WP class |
| 20 MP | Hashashin, Tamer, Shai, Ranger, Scholar, Corsair, Dark Knight, Archer, Deadeye, Agent |
| 25 MP | Sorceress, Maegu, Woosa, Dosa |
| 40 MP | Sage, Witch, Wizard |
New class passives
Each class's old level-up differences become a passive learned automatically at levels 50, 55, 60, 65 and 70. The Warrior's is called 워리어의 기억 (literally Warrior's Memory). The passive values match what a level 72 character had under the old system. Characters below 72 before the update gain a little Max HP once all five are learned.

The Common Skill comes to official servers
The Common Skill previewed on 18 September is now headed for official servers. The skill is 멸신 : 지정타, literally Godslaying: Pinpoint Strike. Finish the Inner Edania main questline to earn the "A New Era" knowledge. Then collect the skill book from the Mercenary's Trace in Voidekea and use it to learn the skill.

A left click during the skill fires its attack immediately. The skill cannot be tested on Global Lab.

Class changes
Valkyrie
Five Awakening skills deal more damage, and their PvP damage ratios drop:
| Skill | Before | After |
|---|---|---|
| Shield of Purification III | 4500% x3, burst 4500% x2, PvP 36.66% | 5036% x3, burst 5036% x2, PvP 32.75% |
| Enslar's Sanctity III | Mark 3027% x1, final 7567% x2, PvP 23.2% | Mark 3760% x1, final 9416% x2, PvP 18.64% |
| Lightning Thrust | 6719% x2, PvP 26.09% | 8568% x2, PvP 20.46% |
| Absolute: Lightning Thrust | 6719% x2, PvP 26.09% | 8568% x2, PvP 20.46% |
| Flow: Holy Release | 7171% x2, PvP 30.15% | 9020% x2, PvP 23.97% |
Woosa
Pearl Abyss's English says earlier changes to Prime: Cloudrise let its Storm Cloud overlap the cloud from Prime: Quiet Waters, and miscounted its hits. The fix keeps the common combos working:
- A new Storm Cloud in the same spot now replaces the old one.
- Prime: Quiet Waters places the cloud from its Cloud Blossom follow-up in a new position.
- Prime: Cloudrise's Storm Cloud hits 20% faster when chained from three specific skills.
- Prime: Cloudrise could deal up to 11 hits, unlike its description. That is fixed.
Fixes
Berserker, Wizard, Mystic, Striker, Corsair, Woosa and Seraph all get fixes. Mystic, Striker and Woosa each had an AP buff that a stronger version failed to replace. Wizard's fireball skills reach further down onto targets below the caster. Recovery labels for HP, MP, WP and SP now all read as natural recovery.
Smaller changes
Inner Edania gains eight new kinds of Tachyon's Trace. Finding them leads to a trial whose reward is an Agris gold coin (literal name).
Item transfer moves to Musa and Maehwa, at 1 silver. It runs from after the 8 October maintenance to before the 29 October maintenance (a day earlier in Korea).
Event Horizon gets a cleanup. A bug that sometimes skipped the Edana spawns after Ivedor's reset is fixed. The Edana along Ivedor's escape route now spawn at random points. They appear once, and only if you completed the wormhole gimmick. Accretion's Edana count is brought into line with the other zones. The wormhole buffs now come from loot you pick up near the buff point.
The Inner Edania main questline, released in Korea on 16 September, gets a long list of fixes across Edania, Aphrodon, Emesia, Magaia, Aresion and Voidekea. Five Aresion titles that never paid out are granted at the 8 October maintenance. The notice lists 56 old growth support, event and returner quests that can no longer be accepted. Some names appear more than once.
At Aphrodon Temple and Magaia Temple, another player could sometimes pick up the loot from monsters that spawn after the zone's event message. That is fixed.
When world boss Gwint appears, nearby Mutant Trolls are petrified for 1 hour. Siege's top 5% were sometimes overpaid since rewards moved to the Black Spirit's gift box. Pearl Abyss will send a later payment so everyone affected ends up with the same amount. Items now move between slots by holding the mouse button and dragging. Arehaza, Sausan Garrison's wharf and two other spots get larger safe zones.
What this changes for tracking
No drop rate changes, so the silver per hour figures in our grind spot data stand.
Three spot pages name Combat EXP as a reason to go: Gyfin Rhasia Underground, Bloody Monastery and Polly's Forest. Traitor's Graveyard is listed as faster than Polly's for levelling alts. All four rest on the old EXP tables, and the game itself is dropping the High Combat EXP tag. Those notes come out when this ships, and come back only if a measured session supports them.
The notice's screenshot labels Aphrodon Temple as level 71, with monsters at 71 and 72. Its entry requirement reads 400 AP and 470 DP, which matches our spot row exactly. A level 75 character is 3 or more levels above every monster in that screenshot, so it takes the full +9 monster damage reduction there.
The site does not record character level. The gear planner will not show the up to 18 extra AP against monsters and 18 monster damage reduction a level 75 character carries. Our buff list does not track EXP buffs either, so the Pearl outfit and camp changes move nothing on the site.
The notice also fixes Magaia Temple's in-game loot list, which wrongly included Sealed Black Magic Crystal. Our Magaia Temple loot table never carried it, so nothing changes there.
